As building, utility and infrastructure improvements associated with UConn2000, 21st Century UConn and Next Generation Connecticut (NGC) continues this summer, traffic patterns on the following campus roads (as shown on this map) will be directly impacted:
NORTH EAGLEVILLE ROAD
- Open to One-Way Construction & Local Traffic Only
- No Thru Traffic, Follow Detour Signs
- Beware of Pedestrian Crossings
- No Access from Route 195 South
- Enter campus at Discovery Drive (via Route 44)
- No Access from Route 195 North
- Enter campus at Bolton Rd or Mansfield Rd
HILLSIDE ROAD
- Open to All Traffic, Including Construction Vehicles
- Single Lane of Travel at Gampel Pavilion
- Alternating Direction, Expect Delays
WHITNEY ROAD
- Open to Local Traffic Only
- No Thru Traffic or Connection to Gilbert Road
- Turn-Around at Dodd Center
- On-Street Parking Reductions
AUDITORIUM ROAD
- Closed to Vehicular Traffic
- Construction & Service Vehicles Only
JORGENSEN ROAD
- Open to Local Traffic Only
- Accessible Drop-Off Area for Theater Events
BENTON SERVICE DRIVE
- Open to Construction & Local Traffic Only
- Single lane at Benton Museum
- Alternating Direction, Beware of Pedestrians
FAIRFIELD WAY
- Pedestrian Zone, Emergency Vehicles Only
Construction activities began mobilizing shortly after Commencement and will continue through this fall in many locations. Changes to these temporary traffic patterns are not anticipated however updates will be announced and posted when conditions warrant. Some delays approaching these areas should be expected.
